RiverStone Owners Club events, rallies, meetups, and other activities may be photographed or recorded. Photos and videos help us document Club activities, share memories with members, recognize volunteers and participants, and promote future Club events.
How photos and videos may be used
Photographs or recordings taken at Club activities may be used in:
- The RiverStone Owners Club website
- Club newsletters and email communications
- Club social media pages or groups
- Event recaps
- Rally or meetup promotions
- Printed Club materials
- Presentations or displays related to Club activities
- Other nonprofit or Club-related communications
The Club does not sell photographs of members or participants for commercial advertising purposes.
Respecting member preferences
We understand that some members and guests may prefer not to appear in identifiable photographs or videos. Members and guests who do not wish to be photographed should notify the event organizer or designated Club representative when practical. The Club will make reasonable efforts to respect those requests.
Because many Club activities take place in public or semi-public group settings, we cannot guarantee that a person will never appear incidentally in the background of a photograph or recording.
Featured or identifiable photos
For ordinary event photography — group photos, campground scenes, meals, activities, or rally gatherings — separate written permission may not always be requested. However, the Club will obtain permission before using a person’s image in a way that prominently features or specifically identifies that individual for purposes such as:
- Promotional advertising
- Testimonials
- Featured member stories
- Fundraising campaigns
- Sponsor materials
- Commercial merchandise
Children and minors
The Club will use additional care when photographing children. Photographs that prominently feature an identifiable minor will not be used for promotional or public-facing purposes without permission from a parent or legal guardian. Names or other identifying information about minors will not be published without appropriate permission.
Photos submitted by members
Members who submit photographs or videos to the Club confirm that they have the right to share the material. By submitting media for Club use, the member grants RiverStone Owners Club permission to reproduce, publish, display, crop, resize, or otherwise format the material for Club-related purposes. Ownership of the original photograph or video remains with the person who created it unless otherwise agreed. Members should avoid submitting photographs that they know contain individuals who have requested not to be publicly featured.
Photo credit
The Club may provide photographer credit when appropriate, but cannot guarantee that attribution will appear every time a photograph is used.
Requests to remove a photo
If a member or participant believes that a photograph or video featuring them should be removed from a Club-controlled website, social media account, or publication, they may contact the Club. The Club will make reasonable efforts to review and address removal requests. The Club may not be able to remove copies that have already been shared by other members, reposted by third parties, printed and distributed, or published on platforms outside the Club’s control.
Third-party photography
Campgrounds, venues, sponsors, vendors, media organizations, or individual attendees may take their own photographs or recordings at Club events. Those photographs are governed by the photographer’s or organization’s own policies. RiverStone Owners Club is not responsible for media created or published independently by third parties.
